App store
In this way, apps have become popular that provide answers to very specific user needs and that are designed and adapted for each device, in a way that takes advantage of each of its features and qualities.

Computer store
App stores generally take the form of an online store, where users can browse through these different categories of apps, view information about each app (such as reviews or ratings) and purchase the app (including in-app purchase, if necessary; many apps are offered free of charge). The selected app is offered as an automatic download, after which the app is installed. Some app stores may also include a system to automatically remove an installed program from devices under certain conditions, with the goal of protecting the user against malicious software.[1] Many Linux distributions and other systems may also include a system for automatically removing an installed program from devices under certain conditions.
Many Linux distributions and other Unix-like systems provide a tool known as a package manager, which allows a user to automatically manage the software installed on their systems (including operating system components and third-party software) using command-line tools: new software (and the packages required for its proper functioning) can be retrieved from local or remote mirrors and automatically installed in a single process. Notable package managers on Unix-like operating systems include pkgsrc (1997), Debian APT (1998), YUM and Portage (which, unlike most package managers, distributes packages containing source code that is automatically compiled rather than executables). Some package managers have graphical user interface software that can be used to browse available packages and perform operations, such as Synaptic (which is often used as the user interface for APT).

In my childhood and youth I watched my father dedicate his efforts and take on responsibilities in a company that was not his own. He was infinitely more personally involved than what we understand by a work schedule. And when the paycheck came home it was managed by the best economist in the world, my mother. I owe them so much.
Creating a computer company was the perfect formula to unite the world of business and technology. In December 1993, I got my two friends and partners involved in the APP project. What a thrill!
APP stands for “Asesoría y Programación Profesional Informática”. Choosing the name was not complicated but we had hardly any money. Each partner put 200,000 pts (1,200€). A total of 3.600€ that soon became very scarce, after the minimum initial expenses. As we could not afford to pay for premises, we started the activity in what had been my grandparents’ apartment, a sixth floor!
The first project consisted of opening the range of our possibilities to the maximum: We started offering custom programming, network installation, maintenance to companies, sale of standard software, sale of computers and hardware in general. We multiplied ourselves personally to be able to attend to everything but we knew that we would have to specialize.
